Potraits of the Past Sponored by AAUW Morgan Hill and Gilroy
LEARN FROM PORTRAITS OF THE PAST
History San Jose Portraits of the Past will present a show that is visually stunning, educational, historically accurate, and amusing. The friendly, fun-loving, and talented volunteers make this program an entertaining and educational look at days gone by in Santa Clara Valley.
Museum volunteers assume the roles of locally significant citizens, after careful biographical research to ensure historical accuracy, and portray these characters in interesting and often amusing sketches dealing with notable events in Valley history. This year their focus is on California women winning the vote.
Beautiful period costumes, made and worn by performers, make the presentations particularly effective.
The one hour program sponsored by the Morgan Hill and Gilroy AAUW will be presented on Sunday, February 12th at 2:00 PM. A dessert buffet will follow. Open to the public, donations welcome. Contact: Karen Anderson, 7continents@verizon.com
